About Us
Every cook deserves wood you never have to second-guess.
Tennessee Cooking Wood is a family-run business in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. We make premium smoking wood for backyard cooks, serious pitmasters, and anyone who believes real hardwood belongs in the fire.
What Makes Our Wood Different
We remove the bark before our products leave the shop. It takes more time and more labor, but bark-free wood helps create cleaner smoke and keeps unnecessary debris out of your cooker.
Our Tennessee hardwood is moisture-managed for consistent performance, then kiln heat-treated and USDA certified for interstate shipping.
We process our wood into practical formats for the way people actually cook—from trial-size Flavor Boost chunks to half-cubic-foot bags and Pitmaster Stack XL™ boxes.
Real Tennessee Hardwood
Our core species include Hickory, White Oak, Red Oak, and Tennessee Wild Cherry. Each species brings its own smoke profile, giving cooks a real way to control flavor instead of settling for generic wood.
Why We Do It
Smoking wood isn’t filler. It’s an ingredient.
We believe you should know what species you’re cooking with, how it was processed, and what to expect when it hits the fire.
Charcoal is fuel. Wood is flavor.
Fire It Up.
